Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Convertilo website, also known as ConvertiloAR (the “Site”), processes, what it uses it for and what rights you have. It applies to the exchange rates, the converter, the histories and the calculators, and to the two ways of receiving alerts: browser notifications and the Telegram bot.

1. Controllers

The owners of the Site are responsible for processing the information described in this Policy. Contact details appear at the bottom of this page.

2. Information collected

Convertilo is designed to ask for as little data as possible. You do not need to sign up or give personal data to see the exchange rates or to use the converter, the history or the calculators.

  • Visit analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which measures use of the Site in an aggregated, anonymous way (pages viewed, device type, country of origin, etc.). It does not use cookies.
  • Hosting logs: the Site is hosted on Vercel, which may process technical connection data, such as the IP address, in its server logs to operate and protect the service.
  • Weather city: the weather widget stores the chosen city (name, country and coordinates) in your browser, whether you search for it yourself or it is obtained from your device’s location. That data stays only in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
  • Device location (only if you allow it): if no city is saved, the weather widget asks your browser for permission to know your location. If you grant it, your browser sends the coordinates to BigDataCloud, to get the city name, and to Open-Meteo, to look up the weather. If you deny it, you can search for a city by hand; the text you type is sent to Open-Meteo. Our servers do not receive those coordinates or that text.
  • Browser notifications (only if you turn them on): when you turn notifications on, your browser creates a push subscription. We store the technical address of that subscription and its two encryption keys, the language of the page where you turned them on, and the price alerts you create (the chosen price and whether the notice is for a rise or a fall). We do not store your name or email.
  • Telegram alerts (only if you use them): when you send a command to the bot, Telegram gives the bot your numeric chat identifier. We store that identifier together with the chosen price, the alert type (blue dollar, or buy or sell USDT), the language and the alert’s status. The bot does not store your name, username or phone number.
  • Price histories: we store daily rates to show the histories. They are market data and are not related to any person.
  • We do not ask for email addresses, passwords, bank details or identity documents on the Site.

3. Purpose of processing

  • To operate and improve the technical performance of the Site and to analyze usage trends anonymously.
  • To show the weather for the city you choose.
  • To send you the notice, by push notification or Telegram, when an alert you created yourself is triggered. Alert data is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. How long data is kept

  • An alert is kept while it is active. When it is triggered and the notice is sent, the alert is deleted.
  • The push subscription is kept while notifications are turned on. It is deleted when you turn them off from the Site (and its alerts with it) or when the browser reports that it is no longer valid.
  • You can delete all your Telegram alerts at any time by sending /cancelaralerta to the bot. You can also ask us to delete your alert data, as explained in the rights section.
  • The weather city stays in your browser until you clear the site’s data.

5. Providers and third parties involved

  • Vercel: hosting of the Site and visit analytics.
  • Supabase: database where alerts, push subscriptions and price histories are stored.
  • Telegram: messaging service through which the bot’s alerts are sent.
  • Your browser’s notification service (for example, Google’s, Apple’s, Mozilla’s or Microsoft’s, depending on the browser): carries push notices to your device.
  • Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud: weather and city name. Your browser queries them when you use the weather widget, as explained above.
  • Rate sources: they are publicly available services queried from our servers and receive no data about people who visit the Site.
  • Some images, such as the flags in certain sections, are loaded from third-party servers, which can see your browser’s IP address.
  • Fonts are served from the Site itself, without your browser requesting them from Google.
  • These providers may store or process information on servers located outside Argentina.

6. Information security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or alteration. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure.

7. Links to external sites

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, exchanges, social networks or services linked from Convertilo. We recommend reading the privacy policy of each site you visit.

8. Your rights

  • You may request access to, rectification, updating or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, in particular your alert data.
  • You can delete your alert data yourself: on Telegram, with /cancelaralerta; in the browser, by turning notifications off from the Site.
  • The holder of personal data may exercise the right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown (Article 14, paragraph 3, of Law No. 25,326).
  • The Agency for Access to Public Information, as the supervisory body of Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims filed for breach of the personal data protection rules.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
